The Lodge Bedroom has a queen size log bed and private large bathroom. It is decorated with Native American pictures that take you back to an era gone by. The Lodge Room is furnished with a home theater system and with a 52" plasma Television equipped with surround sound and over 200 DVD's to choose from. There is a fieldstone wood-burning fireplace that you can light to set the mood.

The room is equipped with a pool table, refrigerator, and microwave that make it a perfect romantic retreat for that special occasion, a “girls only” weekend away, a scrap booking get-away or an escape from the daily grind.

Return to nature and experience the feeling of log home living

The Boone room is a special room for us; look out the back window and down the woodland trace. We have tried to keep the "feel" simple and quaint. If you get the chance, read about The Cumberland Gap and close your eyes and imagine what life was like back then.

The Flintlock rifle over the bed is "real" but not old. It was made for me by a friend that passed away several years ago. The powder horn is authentic, as is the small pouch. The feather is from a wild turkey that passed through the property. The hat is coyote. The chair is draped with a buffalo hide. The small cabin picture is the last residence Daniel Boone and his family lived in, located in Kentucky before they left for Missouri. The room is equipped with a TV with DVD, refrigerator, private porch and private bath.

We hope you enjoy your stay and feel a little "kindred spirit" with those that came before us.

Sheltowee Country Breakfast:
Never leave hungry! Sheltowee Trace's favorites include Mountain Man Wild Blueberry Pancakes, Biscuits and Gravy, Sheltowee’s Skillet Bake or Sunday's Country Bake is always a hit. It is a full breakfast with juice, fruit and beverages. Special likes or dislikes as well as special diets like Vegetarian or Gluten-Free can be accommodated.

Rustic Cabin
We purchased and moved this little cabin to our property in 2006. The rustic cabin is made from vertical logs and was built back in the 1940's. It's like taking a step back in time. The cabin has a bunk bed that sleeps two and a full sized bed. The cabin is equipped with electricity, air conditioner, small refrigerator, campfire ring and a private picnic area. It is heated with a wood stove. You can use the traditional out-house or for those less brave, use of a shared bath is available. The nightly rate for the rustic cabin is $85 for double occupancy which includes breakfast. Additional persons will require additional charges. The cabin is available May through November.

Rustic Tent Camping
Across the pond is the large, traditional style tepee which is available for rent May through October. The Tepee is a traditional style canvas tepee. There is no floor and has a flap closure. You can sleep on the ground with sleeping bags of your own or supplied by us. The nightly rate for the Tepee is $75, which includes breakfast. Rustic tent camping is available May through October. Meals and bath are not included but may be added by prior arrangement for an additional fee. Call for pricing. Note: The Inn-Keepers suite with shared bath is $110 per night which includes breakfast and is only used at times of overflow.

Miss Reb’s Retreat:
$120 per night double occupancy; $160 per night for 4.
Just finishing up renovation and scheduled to be completed by June 2011. Miss Reb was a favorite quarter-horse of David’s family. This living area is complete with a kitchenette. It sleeps 7 or more. One small bedroom a twin bed, the other small bedroom has a full-sized bed; there is a full-sized Murphy bed and a queen sized sofa sleeper. It has a large bathroom with a full-sized bathtub/shower and double sinks. The living room is complete with stereo, television and DVD player. The dining area and kitchenette area are furnished with a dinning table, large refrigerator and a gas stove. The retreat is fully furnished with dinnerware, silverware and bake-wear. You bring the food. It has a private entrance just off the pool area. Meals are not included, but may be added by prior arrangement for an addition fee. It is decorated with a western/horses theme … complete with the saddle.

Guests have access to the kitchen and living room area where they may enjoy the gas log stone fireplace, listen to music or watch television. Then retreat back to their lair for a quiet evening. Breakfast is included and served in the cabin's warm cozy kitchen. All rooms have access to hot tub/seasonal pool. No smoking. Pets allowed with prior arrangements and additional fees may apply.
